NOVO-OGAREVO, January 20, 2004. /RIA Novosti/. Russian President Vladimir Putin points out good prospects for cooperation between the World Bank and Russian regions.
"The use of loans is of interest. Money gained from these loans can be sent to regional budgets on a contest basis depending on their implementation of coordinated reform programs," the Russian leader said at the meeting with World Bank President James Wolfensohn on Tuesday.
"The World Bank has such experience," Vladimir Putin noted.
