NEW DELHI, January 20, 2004. /RIA Novosti/ -- Russian and Indian views on the settlement of the Iraqi and Afghani issues are the same, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov stated at the press-conference in New Delhi.
Moreover, Moscow and New Delhi have the same approaches towards the solution of the international terrorism and other global threats, the Russian Defense Minister noted.
According to him, Russian and Indian interests are not limited by the above issues and close strategic military-technical cooperation. Both countries have mutual interests in other spheres as well, including cultural, trade and social spheres, Ivanov said.
At the same time he stressed that the Russo-Indian cooperation is of long-term and perspective character.
