WASHINGTON, JANUARY 17. (RIA Novosti correspondent Arkadi Orlov). US Secretary of State Colin Powell will pay a visit to Georgia and Russia next week, the US State Department press service informed.
On January 25 Mr Powell will take part in the inauguration ceremony of new Georgia President Michael Saakashvili and will leave for Moscow afterwards. The State Secretary is supposed to have a meeting with Igor Ivanov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
