BERLIN. Alexei Gordeyev, Russia's Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Prime Minister, will attend a roundtable on, "Global Commerce: Prospects to Extend the European Union and Its Neighbours". Mr. Gordeyev is leading a Russian delegation to a current Green Week international agricultural exposition.
KIEV. The Union of Ukrainian Orthodox Christian Fraternities and the Ethnic Russian Movement of Ukraine are arranging a religious procession in the city's heart in honour of the 350th anniversary of Ukraine and Russia reunificstion. The procession will be part of a government celebration programme.
CHERNIGOV, UKRAINE. Ivan Kirilenko, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister, and Vladimir Semashko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, meet in conference. They intend to approve a list of the year's measures to implement a bilateral interstate programme of long-term economic partnership, 1999-2008.
