CAIRO, 16 January. /RIA Novosti correspondent Igor Kuznetsov/. The first meeting of the Russian-Arab business council (RABC) will be held in Cairo on 24-25 January.

The objective of this non-commercial organization is to develop trade and economic relations between Russia and Arab states.

The RAB Council was established in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed in Moscow in July 2002 between the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab countries.

In August last year the RABC Russian part was registered in Moscow and in October at the session of the General Union in El-Kuwait the Arab part of that structure was established.

Representatives of business circles of Russia and Arab states will attend the Cairo meeting. Yevgeny Primakov, president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce is expected to arrive in the Egyptian capital.
