TALINN, JANUARY 16. /RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT IGOR KLYUEV/ -- In April 2004 the Estonian shipping company Tallinn Group is going to open a new ferry line from Helsinki to Tallinn and further to St.Petersburg. Estonian newspapers report this on Friday, referring to the firm's managers Enn Pant and Keyo Mehtonen, speaking up at the tourist exhibition Matka 2004, on-going in the Finnish capital.

They said that the line will be serviced by the Fantazia ferry boat, now cruising on the Tallinn-Stockholm line. It is said that, since the ferry will sail outside the borders of the European Union, tax-free trade will be preserved on its board. The Fantazia will seat 1,700 passengers. She is 136 meters long and 24.6 meters wide.

Enn Pant said that "much interest in the ferry line is expected in Finland and Russia". According to the managers of Tallinn Group, it will give Russian clients an opportunity to go to the Swedish capital, Stockholm. The firm expects to provide services to 250,000 passengers this year.
