JIDDA, SAUDI ARABIA, January 16 (RIA Novosti) - When meeting with Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov, Sheih Mohammad al-Sabouni recognized by Moslem theologians as "a servant of the Koran", said that terrorists in Chechnya assumed tenets contradicting the Koran. He said that on familiarising himself with the situation in Chechnya he was firm that those who offended against law in Chechnya by committing acts of terrorism embarked on the path contradicting the norms of Islam, which implies the norms of the Koran.

"Their outrages have nothing to do with jihad, the sacred war for the Moslem faith," said the sheih known as the author of 40 books on Islam.

Saudi Arabia welcomes Akhmad Kadyrov as an elected president of the Chechen Republic and the leader of its people, said al-Sabouni.
