RUSSIAN FM TO OPEN FOREIGN MINISTRY MISSION IN NOVOSIBIRSK

NOVOSIBIRSK, JANUARY 16 (RIA NOVOSTI - SIBERIA CORRESPONDENT NATALYA RESHETNIKOVA) - On Friday, January 16, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will visit Novosibirsk, a major city in Asian Russia.

The district's information center Sibir reported that the foreign ministry will open its mission in Novosibirsk during the visit.

The Russian government decided to open eight new foreign ministry missions. One of them will be situated in the administrative center of the Siberian Federal District.

The program of the visit includes a working meeting with the president's envoy in the Siberian Federal District, Leonid Drachevsky, and a briefing for mass media.
