BEIJING, JANUARY 15 (RIA NOVOSTI corr. SERGEI ZELENTSOV) - The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has future in it, reads a message by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan that was sent by him in connection with the beginning of its secretariat's work.
This important event will serve as an additional incentive for tackling security issues, Annan's message notes.
The UN is ready to team up with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization for the sake of enhancing regional and global stability, the UN Secretary-General stressed.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization comprises six countries, i.e. Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
