MOSCOW, January 14, RIA Novosti corespondent - The Defense Ministry of Russia is working on the development of an aerospace defense system, Russian Airforce Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Mikhailov told a Moscow news conference Wednesday.

According to him, on January 19, Head of the General Staff Anatoly Kvashnin will hear the Air Command report on the aerospace defense concept, which will delineate the spheres of competence in the project.

Mikhailov noted that the aerospace defense concept "only exists theoretically so far, even though this sphere is arousing a keen interest." "We have been working on this concept for the past six months," the airforce commander-in-chief noted.
