    SEVEN CACHES WITH WEAPONS FOUND IN CHECHNYA OVER PAST 24 HOURS

    GROZNY, January 14 (RIA NOVOSTI) - As many as seven caches with weapons were found in Chechnya over the past 24 hours.

    In particular, a large amount of arms and explosives was found in a cache by policemen in the Kurchaloi district on day before in the course of operational-search activities.

    "The cache was found near Gheldygen village. It contained 16 kg of TNT, 3 kg of plastic explosives, 12 rocket projectiles, 19 grenades, 6 mines, and 21 electric detonators," the temporary press center of Russia's Interior Ministry in the Northern Caucasus reported.

    The search for the owner of the cache is under way.

    On that same day policemen found two Shmel flame throwers and 16 rounds for a grenade-launcher in a cache near the Ghekha - Urus Martan road in the Urus Martan district.

    Another cache was found near Novoye Solgusheno village in the Naursky district of Chechnya. According to the data of the regional operational staff for carrying out the counter terrorist operation in the Northern Caucasus, it contained 0.5 kg of TNT and six rounds for an anti-tank grenade launcher.
