Representatives of Latvia's Left-centrist parliamentary factions accused the country's education and science minister Karlis Sadurskis of lies and irresponsibility. The statement by the minister, where he laid responsibility for the arson of the building of the ministry of education and science on the public organizations coming out in defense of Russian schools, as well as the deputies of the Seim and the Riga Duma from Left-centrist parties, served as a pretext for this. The arson was carried out by unidentified persons, presumably national-Bolsheviks, in the morning of January 9.
