RUSSIA'S DEFENSE MINISTER TO LEAVE FOR SIBERIAN MILITARY DISTRICT ON INSPECTION TRIP

MOSCOW, January 13 (RIA NOVOSTI) - During his trip to the Siberian military district which is beginning on Tuesday, Russia's Minister of Defense, Sergei Ivanov will visit Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk and Barnaul.

As Russia's Defense Ministry reported, he will familiarize himself with the work of the higher educational establishments, as well as with the servicemen's service and life in these regions.

Sergei Ivanov will visit military units and formations of the Siberian military district. "The Minister's working trip will begin with a visit to a missile unit in the Irkutsk Region," a ministry source said.

According to him, practical training on entry of a missile regiment into patrolling routes is planned in that unit for Tuesday.
