MOSCOW, January 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) public relations center told RIA Novosti on Monday that a Moscow city court ruling on the September 1999 bombings of apartment block bombings in Moscow and Volgodonsk would be greeted positively by the public.

"The fact that the criminal case on the bombings of the apartment blocks has been brought to its logical conclusion, obviously, will have a positive influence on the socio-political situation in Chechnya," a spokesman for the centre said.

The case is still under the control of the FSB's investigation department, as one of the masterminds, Achemez Gochiyaev, is still on the run, although is on the international wanted list.

"The criminals who perpetrated this crime, wherever they might hide, will be caught and brought to justice," the spokesman said.

The spokesman also reported that the evidence against Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Kryshamkhalov, who have been charged under article 8 of the Russian Criminal Code, had been entirely confirmed. The Moscow court sentenced them to life imprisonment in a high security penal colony.
