Addressing the session of the Russian Presidential Council for Combating Corruption, the head of the state said that one of the trends in its activity was the improvement of the state and municipal apparatus, and the tough regulation of the rights and obligations of the officials.
The President underscored: "You should not be afraid of raising the wellbeing and wages of the officials. But their activity must be absolutely transparent. An official must be put in a strict procedural framework, and the results of his activity must be opened for civil society, for the people." According to Vladimir Putin, the Council will have to form a working commission of experts who know this problem and who have a high authority among the professionals and the public.
