RUSSIA, KAZAKHSTAN TO JOIN HANDS FOR MILITARY-ORIENTED EXPORTS

ASTANA, JANUARY 9 (RIA Novosti correspondent Elena Glushakova) - Russia and Kazakhstan signed an intergovernmental agreement on the terms of contacts in military-oriented exports to third countries.

Mikhail Dmitriev, Russia's Deputy Defence Minister and committee head for military-technological partnership with other countries, and Adilbek Jaksybekov, Kazakhstan's Minister of Industry and Trade, signed the document in the summiteers' presence after Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan finished negotiations in Astana, Kazakh capital.

Another intergovernmental agreement, also signed in the Presidents' presence, envisages preserving the specialisation of offices and industrial companies involved in military-oriented production.
