TBILISI, January 5th, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - According to the initial reports, head of the National Movement political party Mikhail Saakashvili is a leading presidential candidate.
Proceeding from the vote counting at 30 polling stations, Mikhail Saakashvili has gathered 95% of votes, Zurab Chiaberashvili, chairman of the Georgian Election Commission, told reporters in Tbilisi.
He added that voting results would continue to be reported as soon as other final protocols appear in the commission's database.
