MOSCOW, January 5th, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded that the government get ready for proper co-operation with the new State Duma, Russia's lower house, formed on December 7th, 2003.
"I know that the government has considered (law-making) priorities. We should do everything it takes to explain to the deputies their priorities and begin comprehensive work with the State Duma," the Russian president said, as opening the first 2004 session with the cabinet in the Kremlin.
