MOSCOW, January 3rd, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Georgian citizens in Moscow and St. Petersburg will be able to participate in the presidential elections, spokesman for the Georgian Central Election Commission in Moscow David Beritashvili told RIA Novosti.

Three polling stations have been set up in Moscow - in the Georgian embassy, the consulate and the Georgian cultural centre, and in the Georgian consulate in St. Petersburg. Any citizen will be able to cast his/her vote at these polling stations on Sunday provided they produce a document confirming their citizenship - a passport, a refugee ID, etc.

Beritashvili said that information about the place and day of the polls was spread actively among Georgian citizens: in the Georgian Church in Moscow and onboard planes bound from Georgia to Russia.

The presidential elections of Georgia have been scheduled for January 4th.
