$40 Million in Cocaine Found in Czech Banana Shipment
00:18 GMT 04.04.2015 (Updated: 11:17 GMT 06.08.2022) Czech police seized $40 million worth of cocaine found in a shipment of bananas bound for a Prague supermarket, said Barbora Kudlackova, spokeswoman for the police anti-narcotics unit.
According to Kudlackova, the drugs were found randomly in a box with bananas from Colombia. She said the bust was bigger than one in 1999, when authorities seized of 258 pounds of cocaine as the result of a six-month investigation.
