NOVOSIBIRSK, July 31 (RIA Novosti) - Prosecutors pressed charges against a Siberian driver, who was detained earlier in the month after beating to death an old man crossing a road, a local investigator said on Wednesday.
Two weeks ago, police reported that a 77-year-old man was fatally beaten by the driver of a Lexus in Novosibirsk because the driver “did not like” that the man “was crossing the road slowly.”
The head of the Novosibirsk investigation department said that the driver faces charges of inflicting bodily harm that resulted in a death.
The detained driver will spend up to 15 years in prison if found guilty under the pressed charges.
