Russia's 2025 state armaments program envisions the development and entry into service with the Armed Forces of next-generation high-precision weapons, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said Wednesday.

TULA (Sputnik) — President Vladimir Putin ordered the 2018-2025 armament program to be drafted by July 1, 2017.

"The new 2025 state armament program will require fairly serious efforts, because high-precision weapons systems that assume the full autonomy of operation and effective information management system are becoming of immediate interest," Borisov said at a conference.
