DCS Corp. Wins $59Mln Contract to Support Research on US Navy Combat Aircraft

The DCS Corporation has received a $59.4 million US Navy contract to provide weapons and systems integration support services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), the US Department of Defense announced.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — "DCS Corporation [of] Alexandria, Virginia, is being awarded $59.4 million… contract for weapons and systems integration support services for the NAWCWD’s aircraft integrated product teams," the announcement stated.

The DCS Corporation will provide system engineering, research, development and other services to develop, test and evaluate new and upgraded capabilities on the F/A-18, EA-18G, F-35 and AV-8B combat aircraft, according to the Defense Department.

Moreover, the corporation will also provide the mentioned services on unmanned aerial systems, or drones.

Most of the work on the contract will be performed at the Navy’s China Lake testing facility in the US state of California, and is expected to be completed in October 2017, the announcement stated.

The DCS Corporation provides advanced technology solutions to the US government in support of national security and Department of Defense initiatives, according to its website.
