The "defensive alliance" will ratchet up its military presence in Romania.

BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will bolster its presence in Romania, US Permanent Representative to NATO Douglas Lute said Tuesday.

​NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced earlier in the day that the October 26-27 meeting would address reinforcing the alliance's Black Sea region presence, in addition to other topics.
