MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A new uniform for hot climate was developed for Russian servicemen who will participate in military exercises in Egypt scheduled for this month, the Russian Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
"During the drills in the Arab Republic of Egypt Russian soldiers will attend all preliminary and joint tactical exercises and shooting drills as well as cultural program events in a new uniform, developed specifically for the hot climate regions and tested in action," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, the new uniform has proven to be comfortable and to have high capacity for thermoregulation and humidity resistance.
Russian paratroopers will go through a special preparation for a desert operation, which includes language classes, tactical planning and land navigation.
