    Kamchatka Missile Forces Put on High Alert Amid Snap Inspection

    The missile forces in Russia's Kamchatka region have been put on high alert, a spokesman for the Eastern Military District said Tuesday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian military is testing the readiness of the missile forces with a surprise inspection.

    "In the framework of a surprise inspection, held under the leadership of the commander of the Pacific Fleet, the Kamchatka group's staff was put on high alert," Vladimir Matveyev said.
