Azeri servicemen are taking part in the Joint Multinational Special Forces exercises in Turkey, the Azeri Defense Ministry announced on Monday.

BAKU (Sputnik) — The joint exercises kicked off earlier in the day.

The Joint Multinational Special Forces drills, involving participants from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia and Turkey, will last through June 12, the ministry said in a statement.

On June 2, over 1,200 Azerbaijani and Turkish servicemen held live-fire training in the Turkish northeastern city of Kars in compliance with the bilateral agreement on military cooperation.
