US Concerned Over Intercepts of Planes 'Violating Russia, China’s Security'

Washington has recently increased reconnaissance flights near Russia's and China's borders, while accusing Moscow and Beijing of intercepting US spy planes that are "violating their national security."

Last week Chinese military aircraft interceprted US reconnaissance planes near the island of Hainan and the upcoming conference on mechanisms of maritime military security on June 24-25 is thought to prove the "capabilities of military channel as well as good relations between Washington and Beijing."

However, on May 22, US Air Combat Command Commander Gen. Herbert Carlisle in an interview with USA Today newspaper criticized the increasing "aggressiveness" of Russian and Chinese combat aircraft intercepting US military planes.

He added that the concerns are caused by attempts by Moscow and Beijing to expand their influence in Eastern Europe and the Pacific region.

Chinese military expert Zhang Junshu said in an interview with Global Times newspaper that the increased number of US spy planes near Chinese and Russian borders is a serious violation of their state security.

Gen. Carlisle also said that the number of Russian long-range bombers in Eastern Europe and near the US west coast is increasing while China wants to take control over the South China Sea.

"Our concern is a resurgent Russia and a very, very aggressive China," he said.

"Their intent is to get us not to be there… So that the influence in those international spaces is controlled only by them. My belief is that we cannot allow that to happen. We have to continue to operate legally in international airspace and international waterways," he added.

While the US accuses Russia and China of "aggressive" actions the US is in fact deploying the largest military actions against Russia and China since the time of World War II, according to Iran News.

The majority of interceptions of US spy planes took place near the borders of Russia and China, the analyst said.

The US admitted that last year the Pentagon conducted over 700 patrols in the South China Sea, including over 100 spy flights.

According to the expert, this violates Russian and Chinese national security. Moscow and Beijing have the right control such activities.

He also said that despite the fact that Beijing and Washington have agreed a number of maritime security memorandums China will not turn a blind eye to the US’ surveillance activities.

Over the last three weeks, RC-135 spy planes of the US Air Force have approached Russian borders 14 times, including over the Baltic Sea, in the Murmansk Region and in the Far East.

The latest incident took place on Sunday when an RC-135V plane flew near the Russian border over the Baltic Sea. The aircraft, tail number 64-14844 and call sign TROG34, took off from the Mildenhall airbase in Britain and flew in the southern part of the Baltic Sea.

"In the 1990s, the US didn’t conduct reconnaissance flights over Russia because at the time the Russian military was weak. Now, they are concerned with the resurgence of Russia’s military power. This is why the Pentagon has intensified aerial intelligence," expert Vladislav Shurygin was quoted as saying by TV channel Zvezda.

Everything roll down to strength. If you are strong, no one dare just like soon to be - Predident Trump said, he want to build a super strong military that no one would dare, period.
    • Jet fuel can't melt steel beams
"violating their national security." 15 000 Kms away from washington that's a good joke!
    • Next thing you know, the "reconnaissance" planes will be carrying nukes.

A few years a US spy plane was forced to land in China making George bush look like an idiot.
Does OMAMA want to look like a idiot before leaving office?
Does USA want to sing the Chinese national anthem every morning?
      US military is over stretched.
Simultaneous conflicts worldwide would leave USA very open to instant evaporation.
Is the US population prepared for this?
Run to where? ISS 1 or ISS 2 ?

The exceptional will be intercepted by the non-exceptional and one day an exceptional feat will be performed that will make the universally-accepted rules of engagement exceptionally irrelevant.

China and Russia concerns are legitimate.
China and Russia wants to protect US spy plans from renegade terrorist attacks.
It is possible for terrorists with man pads to shoot down such planes.
To prevent such incidents and danger to civilian planes, US should act responsibly.
Russia and China shall not be responsible if such attacks occur to its assets.
YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED. FLY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The following is becoming a standard comment for these sorts of articles:

Outlaw US Empire policy is to attain Full Spectrum Domination of the planet and its people, to which it cannot allow ANY rival to impede that aspiration. Both China and Russia are seen as impediments and must be disciplined to kowtow to the Empire's dictat. As most see, this is a policy of confrontation designed to lead to war as neither Russia or China will back down and allow their rights to be trampled

What has happened to the good old principle of reciprocity; and respect. No need to be "friends," just respect the other guy. Just like at a bar, you respect he other guy's space; not because you are friends but because that way everyone can go about their business without unpleasantness. Likewise, you respect his lady friend, and people with him. Who knows? If you behave like a normal person, you may even meet them and strike up a friendship. I am aware that the notion of "spheres of influence" is no longer in vogue in the West, but why? It's normal. And what about simply, "spheres of interest." This again is normal and a good thing for everybody. Anyone, if they look at themselves, can accept this. It's no different for countries. And similarly, drunken, provocative and bullying behavior always spoils everyone's peace and enjoyment; and unfortunately often ends up badly. Whatever happened to the "golden rule?" (Do onto others, as you would like them to do unto you; and vice versa).

the problem with the rhetoric being used is that it leads people to believe that the words are true and to act accordingly. Idiots.

Lovely. All this to justify big budget military expenditures and MORE contracts to build MORE stuff that won't be used against any country that has any chance of putting up a fight against the U.S. and NATO.

This is the set up so when Frau Hitlery "wins" the election, she can make good on her promises to campaign contributors and seek ways to keep people frightened about a possible Russian or Chinese aggression thus the need for MORE military spending.

She's gonna make a mistake. She has cost lives in the past and has no regret. She will cost more again when she is in office.

It's going to be a sad day when we have to start saying "Heil Hillary" and hold up our left hand each time we greet one another here in United States of Freedom.

peaceactivist2, Trump also said that we would keep that strong military AT HOME and NOT GO LOOKING FOR TROUBLE, meaning no more 'interventions' and meddling in the sovereignty of other countries.

Giskard, "spheres of interest" implies one sphere can be SHARED - the US does not SHARE with anyone.
