Violence Erupts as Islamic State Rises (1881)

The United States should welcome Russia as a full partner in the struggle to destroy the Islamic State, Republican preisdential candidate and billionaire businessman Donald Trump told a rally in Milford, New Hampshire.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Trump noted that the United States should embrace Russia’s readiness to use its own air force and weapons to fight the Daesh. The terrorist group is outlawed in the United States and Russia, as well as in numerous other countries.

"Wouldn't it be nice if we got along with Russia so we could knock out ISIS [the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, which is outlawed in Russia] with them?" Trump stated on Tuesday evening. "Let them beat the s**t out of ISIS also. We'll beat the s**t out of them."

Trump revealed that pressure had been put on him to denounce President Vladimir Putin after the Russian leader publicly praised him. But Trump did not identify the source of the pressure, and added that he has refused to comply.

The Republican candidate also said the United States should no longer act as the "policeman" for the rest of the world.

"We've become the policeman of the rest of the world. They pay us peanuts," Trump pointed out.

On Monday, Trump came in second in the Iowa caucuses behind US Senator Ted Cruz, but he is now concentrating on the primaries in the US state of New Hampshire set to be help on February 9.
