US Principal Deputy Defense Under Secretary for Policy Brian McKeon said that the United States incorporates Russia’s growing missile capabilities into its military plans.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States incorporates Russia’s growing missile capabilities into its military plans, US Principal Deputy Defense Under Secretary for Policy Brian McKeon said on Tuesday.

“We are factoring Russia’s increased cruise missile capabilities, including its INF [Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty] violation, into our planning,” McKeon said in a hearing on US-Russia nuclear arms treaty.

"We are developing a comprehensive response to Russian military actions and are committing to investments that we will make irrespective of Russia’s decision to return to compliance with the INF Treaty due to the broader strategic environment we face," McKeon told the US House Armed Services Committee.
