"Now the question of vengeance on criminals has a national character and, of course, we will do everything to complete and achieve the goals that we set ourselves during the military operation against the most dangerous threat at the moment around the world," Rogozin said during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem.
Rogozin added that Russia is actively supporting Syria and "is taking more than an active part" in the fight against terrorism.
"We are legitimately in Syria and fight intensely against the threat that we consider common to us. Of course, we will provide all support to the Syrian army to liberate the country from the international terrorists who have already showed their fangs," the Russian deputy prime minister said.
Russia commenced precision airstrikes against the Islamic State in Syria on September 30, following a request from Syrian President Bashar Assad, and has since destroyed more than 3,000 terrorist targets.
