The Iraqi forces have manufactured 120 Zolfaqar missiles with a range of two kilometers.

“These missiles are two meters long with a two km range and they will be used for the first time in the Khalediya region of Anbar province,” FARS news agency reported citing Arabic-language news websites.

On October 1, the Iraqi army and volunteer forces strengthened their military operations in the western Anbar province. The Iraqi forces launched massive offensives on ISIL terrorists in Anbar from the north, south and the west.

The Iraqi forces have been trying to recapture Ramadi, the capital of the province, from ISIL militants since July.

The Iraqi army and popular forces killed 35 ISIL terrorists in the surrounding areas of Albu Faraj near Ramadi and destroyed 10 military vehicles.
