US military instructors, arriving in Ukraine to train the country’s armed forces are actually being taught by local troops; Americans “don’t have any peculiar knowledge worth of imparting,” the coordinator of the foundation “Come back alive” Vitaliy Deinega has claimed.

The joint military drills that are being held by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense involving US instructors are absolutely senseless, Deinega said in an interview with radio station Golos Stolitsy.

“This is enough to make a cat laugh,” he said. “These American instructors come here and learn from us. They aren’t capable of teaching us something we don’t know.”

Deinega continued by saying that the US military has never been in a situation in which two equally equipped armies are in combat with one another in an open range. American tactics are relatively different – they mainly use jet fighters to conduct air attacks and then just come back home.

The Ukrainian forces are far more experienced than those of the US, Deinega noted, referring to troops who had been fighting in Donbass. He pointed out that there are better options to fill instructor positions in the Ukrainian army.

For instance, he stressed, Volodimyr “Typhoon” from the 80th brigade would become a perfect artillery coach for the troops, if he didn’t die earlier in September.

So far, this is not the first case when two states have united for carrying out military exercises.

Earlier, various media reported of the completion of joint US-Ukrainian naval drills entitled Sea Breeze-2015 in Odessa. As soon as they ended up, the Commander of Ukraine’s Naval Forces Sergey Gaiduk pronounced them to be a “real step towards stability and peace in the Black Sea region.”
