MOSCOW (Sputnik) — More than a thousand tankers, mechanized infantry and artillery troops have started military drills in western Russia, a Western Military District spokesman said Tuesday.
"Tank, infantry, artillery and engineering units have begun a march on standard vehicles to a railway station, where they will load military equipment on railway platforms. They will then continue the march on their own to one of the military ranges of the Leningrad Region," Col. Oleg Kochetkov said.
