Iran Unveils New Fateh-313 Ballistic Missile
13:02 GMT 22.08.2015 (Updated: 15:08 GMT 25.09.2023) Iran unveiled a short-range solid fuel ballistic missile, which is an upgraded version of Fateh- 110.
The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani attended a ceremony on Saturday to unveil the “Fateh-313” missile, which operates on composite solid fuel and is said to be more accurate in pinpointing targets within a range of 500 kilometers.
The new version of the missiles has a lighter body weight. It runs on an advanced generation of propellants with composite solid fuel and sensors. It also has a quicker launch capability and a longer lifespan, media reports.
.
The Defense Ministry plans to mass produce the short-range high-precision strike missile.
.
The Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great progress in manufacturing a broad range of home-grown equipment, making the Iranian armed forces self-sufficient.
