WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US aircraft carriers, cruisers and destroyers will receive upgrades to the AN/SLQ-32 system, which provides early warning and jamming capabilities.

“The US Navy awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $154 million contract to upgrade the fleet’s electronic warfare defenses against evolving threats, such as anti-ship missiles.”

The system can also identify if enemy ships are tracking ships.
