The US Navy destroyer Porter and Romanian corvette Macellariu conducted joint firing drills from anti-aircraft artillery systems during an exercise in the Black Sea, the press office of the 6th fleet of the US Navy reported.

USS Porter entered the Black Sea on July 5 to participate in the Breeze-2015 NATO naval exercises which ended on July 13.

The drills involved 30 warships and support vessels as well as 1,700 troops.

"The Arleigh Burke-class USS Porter guided missile destroyer took part in joint drills with the Macellariu corvette of the Romanian Naval Forces in the Black Sea," the report read.

During the exercise, the crews completed joint maneuvering tasks and practiced grounding and taking a ship by a special unit. They also conducted combat firing from artillery systems.
