The Romanian and Thai air forces have selected an advanced precision targeting missile system for their F-16 fighter jet aircraft, Lockheed Martin, the maker of the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP), said in a statement on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Sniper ATP supplies aircraft with high-resolution imagery to detect, target and track multiple fixed and moving targets with laser and GPS guided missile systems.

“Sniper ATP will provide the Romanian Air Force and the Royal Thai Air Force with precision targeting capability to locate targets using high-resolution imagery,” Sniper ATP International Program Director Rich Lovette said in the statement.

Lockheed Martin is one of the United States’ largest defense contractors.
