According to The Jerusalem Post, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) found an M16 rifle and ammunition during the arrest of 11 suspects on Wednesday night. All the suspects, allegedly involved in terrorist activity, have been transferred to Shin Bet for interrogation.

On Tuesday, several rockets allegedly fired from Gaza were intercepted by Israeli defences. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was forced to cut short an election rally in the city of Ashdod after rocket sirens sounded, forcing people to seek shelter.
The tensions escalated after the reported deaths of two Palestinian teens in clashes with the military along the Gaza border, where mass rallies against Israel continue to be held.
