A group of Syrian militias from the country's Deir ez-Zor province has killed 10 Daesh terroists, Sana news agency reported.

BEIRUT (Sputnik) — A group of young armed men killed three Daesh jihadists on Abu Kamal-Hasibeh road in the province.

The news outlet added that yet another group of militias killed seven other terrorists, including four foreigners, in the town of Abu Kamal near the border with Iraq.

Additionally, the Syrian army destroyed a militant hideout in the Rashdiyeh neighborhood of Deir ez-Zor, the agency added.

The Syrian army is preparing for a major operation to free besieged Deir ez-Zor.

Since July 2014, Deir ez-Zor has been under siege by Daesh militants. Syrian army units control part of the city, but they are supplied with food and ammunition only by air.
