At Least 2 Israelis Killed, 2 Wounded in Stabbing Attack in West Bank - Reports
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "Freeze contacts with the occupying state at all levels until Israel abolishes its measures against the Palestinian people as a whole, as well as the cities of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque in particular," Abbas said as quoted by WAFA news agency.

The president added that he would continue to provide "all possible support" to the citizens of Palestine, representatives of commercial and other organizations based in Jerusalem.

Earlier in the day, at least three Palestinians were killed and nearly 200 were injured in Jerusalem and across the West Bank during protests against Israeli authorities over the decision to install metal detectors at the gates to the Temple Mount, where the third holiest mosque in Islam is located.

On Friday, Arab neighborhoods around the Old City of Jerusalem have become the scene of clashes between Israeli police and Muslims, gathered near the Old City to go to the Temple Mount and pray in Al-Aqsa mosque.

Many Muslims refuse to go through the detectors installed at the entrances to the holy site after the July 14 Palestinian attack at the Temple Mount, which left two Israeli police officers dead.
