At least four militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed by the Turkish Air Force in northern Iraq on Thursday, Turkish media reported, citing a statement by Turkish General Staff.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The airstrikes where carried out in the Sinat-Haftanin region, with a terrorist hideout and three weapons depots destroyed during the operation, the Turkish Anadolu news agency reported.

The conflict between Turkey and Kurdish militant groups seeking independence reignited in July 2015, leading to frequent acts of terror by the PKK and regular anti-PKK operations by the Turkish government. The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization in Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
