MOSCOW (Sputnik) – An explosion hit on Saturday the Rakban refugee camp in southern Syria, killing four people, according to preliminary information, local media reported.
According to Sky News Arabia, a car bomb exploded in the camp.
Other media reports have indicated that dozens have been injured by the blast.
The Rakban refugee camp located in southern Syria near the border with Jordan is housing about 70,000 families. The humanitarian situation in the camp deteriorated after the border guards of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan closed the borders in June 2015.
