Russia Succeeded in Separating Aleppo Moderate Opposition, Terrorists - Minister

Russian Defense Minister said that Russia fulfilled the work in Aleppo which the United States has failed to do in separating moderate opposition from terrorists, the former were mostly evacuated to Idlib while the latter were eliminated.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia fulfilled the work in Aleppo which the United States has failed to do in separating moderate opposition from terrorists, the former were mostly evacuated to Idlib while the latter were eliminated, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday.

"We have fulfilled the work which our colleagues from the United States have been promising us to do for months, to separate the moderate opposition from militants … This work has been completed by our joint efforts, and the separation of terrorists, whom we have mostly eliminated, and the moderate part of opposition, which was mostly evacuated to Idlib and other provinces, took place," Shoigu said at a meeting with his Turkish counterpart.
