Ankara pledges to find the perpetrators of the assassination of Russia's ambassador to Turkey and fully inform Moscow of its investigation, Turkish National Defense Minister Fikri Isik said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ambassador Andrey Karlov was shot and killed at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara late Monday in what the Russian Foreign Ministry classified as a terrorist attack.

"Regardless of who was behind the terrorist attack, it will become known, we will be sure to find them," Isik said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu. "I can assure you that all the information that we find and discover will be communicated to Russia," Isik said.
