Convoy of Buses Enters Eastern Aleppo to Take Out Remaining Militants

The buses, arrived under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (IFRC), were expected to move the militants to the southwestern part of Syria's Aleppo, according to local media.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Another convoy of buses has entered several districts of eastern Aleppo to evacuate remaining militants and their families, local media reported Sunday.

According to the SANA news agency, the convoy arrived under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (IFRC).

The buses were expected to move the militants to the southwestern part of Aleppo, the agency said.

On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Aleppo was now under full government control with the Syrian army operation to retake the eastern districts completed. Civilians and militants were leaving the city amid a ceasefire agreement between the remaining pockets of resistance and government forces.
