CAIRO (Sputnik) — According to the Al-Ahram online newspaper, Omar bin Laden arrived in Egypt’s capital city of Cairo from Qatar late on Friday. At passport control, border guards said that his name was on the list of people banned from entering the country. In a few hours he left for Turkey.
Omar bin Laden lived in Egypt in 2007-2008.
Osama bin Laden was killed on May 2, 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan during a US Navy SEAL special operation following a 10-year manhunt. The manhunt was initiated in part as a response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States that killed some 3,000 people.
