ANKARA (Sputnik) – Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in a statement on Sunday strongly condemned the recent attack in Istanbul, which the authorities suspect could have been carried out by the Kurdish militant group Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
“We strongly condemn these attacks … We would like to express our condolences to the families of those killed and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. Everyone should fulfill their duty to put an end to this pain and prevent new tragedies,” the statement said, as seen by RIA Novosti.
The statement urged to immediately halt the policies that “create more pressure, division, hostility and conflict.”
According to the latest government data, 38 people, including 30 police officers, where killed in the attack, while 166 were injured.
