Syrian Army Retakes Sheikh Saeed District of East Aleppo - Source

Syrian army managed to gain full control over the Sheikh Saeed district of eastern Aleppo, a source in the staff of city operations told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — On Monday, the Russian reconciliation center said that the Syrian army had established complete control over 12 districts of eastern Aleppo, liberating some 40 percent of the region’s territory.

"The army regained control over Sheikh Saeed. The offensive continues," the source said.

On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Syrian government forces had freed some 90,000 residents.
