MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The settlements Damascus and Latakia provinces the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"Within last 24 hours, truce agreements have been signed with representatives of 8 inhabited areas of the Damascus (4) and Latakia (4) provinces. The total number of inhabited areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 986," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
According to the document, negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have continued with field commanders of armed opposition units operating in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Quneitra, and Aleppo provinces.
